Volunteers required: ‘DIY Days’
As is the situation at many clubs, Berwick Rangers have been making plans to prepare Shielfield Park for future events; in our case, the return of football and speedway.
Yesterday morning, members from the respective boards of Berwick Rangers Supporters Trust and Berwick Rangers Supporters Club visited Shielfield Park to help carry out some preparatory work. They were also joined by volunteers from the BRFC board, Berwick Bandits and Tweedmouth Rangers, as the club looks to prepare the entire stadium complex for sport.
With a start now made, the club now has plans to host a two further ‘DIY Days’ at Shielfield Park, with jobs such as painting barriers, handrails, light weeding all still awaiting completion.
The first of the DIY Days will take place on Sunday 2nd August from 9:30am, with a further session taking place from Wednesday 5th August from 6pm. Volunteers are free to sign up to one or both of the sessions, with all help massively appreciated.
Attendees will of course be provided with the relevant equipment, whilst standard social distancing and hand sanitisation processes will be followed. Attendee details, submitted via the form below, will be held and only used in the unlikely event that they are needed for the purpose of ‘Track & Trace’.
A club director will be on hand to welcome attendees each event, quickly deliver the health and safety formalities and allocating activities.
Finally, if you have a pair of stout gloves to bring along, the club would greatly appreciate if you could bring them with you!
Anybody interested in helping the club prepare Shielfield Park for the return of football is asked to sign up via this form.
