Sneddon and Graham back at Shielfield for 2023/24
Berwick Rangers manager Stuart Malcolm has taken further steps to strengthen his squad tonight, as he adds the signings of Blair Sneddon and Cammy Graham for the 2023/24 season.
Both Sneddon and Graham have featured prominently for Berwick this season – the former as a loan signing from Falkirk since December and the latter after arriving permanently from Cowdenbeath at the start of October. Winger Graham has made 24 appearances in total this season, and netted three times – against Spartans, Dalbeattie Star and Cumbernauld Colts. Sneddon, meanwhile, has started at left-back in 15 out of a possible 18 games since coming to the club, winning 9 games and only tasting defeat on 3 occasions.
Stuart Malcolm was delighted to have secured the talents of these two youngsters, who both turn 21 later this year. Malcolm spoke first about Blair Sneddon, saying he had done ‘exceptionally well’ since coming to the club. ‘Blair has looked really astute and is more than comfortable playing at this level. He brings attacking threat from left-back and has worked hard week in, week out. We are going to continue working with him, and looking to help him improve. I’ve been working hard behind the scenes to secure Blair’s signature for a while. He had plenty of options for next season, but has decided to commit his future to Berwick. It was a no-brainer for us to invest in Blair as well.’
Turning to Cammy Graham, Malcolm added, ‘Cammy has done really well since coming to the club, and we are over the moon that we have got him signed up for next season. He brings new dimensions to us in attack, and his attitude and attributes are second to none. We’re hoping he makes huge strides next season, and will continue to contribute with goals and assists. Looking at Blair and Cammy together, I cannot speak highly enough of these two young men. They add a lot to our changing room, fitting in well with the older players.’
Both Graham and Sneddon were delighted to have committed themselves to the club for next season. Cammy Graham said, ‘I’ve loved it since I’ve come into the team, and am really excited to see what we can all do next year because we are building something good.’ Blair Sneddon stated, ‘Obviously, I’ve really enjoyed my time since coming in, and just like Cammy I’m really looking forward to next season already. I think next year could be really promising.’
