Under 20s open their league campaign with a 4-1 win at Cowdenbeath
At New Central Park last night the Under 20s opened their SPFL Development League East season with a resounding 4-1 against Cowdenbeath.
There were early goals with Berwick taking the lead in the 3rd with a goal from Rose before Cowdenbeath drew level almost immediately.
Barrett put Berwick ahead again in the 24th minute and it remained 2-1 until half time.
Watched on by new first team Assistant Manager David Burrell along with coach Myles Allan there was a third goal in the 77th minute from Gillan before a Murray shot in the 90th deflected off a Cowdenbeath player in the last competitive kick of the game as the referee blew up for full time as the teams kicked off again.
The Berwick starting eleven was: Jarrett, Hernal, Orru, Chapman, Cook, McKenzie, Murray, Gillan, Watt, Barrett, Rose with substitutes Aitchison, Sutherland, Dolan, Windram, Jack, Heath, Allan.
