Malcolm adds Orr ahead of season opener

Berwick Rangers are pleased to confirm the addition of young goalkeeper Dylan Orr ahead of today’s Scottish Lowland League opener against Heart of Midlothian B.

Dylan has been on trial with the ‘Gers in recent weeks, and has done enough to win over Stuart Malcolm. Fans who travelled to our pre-season friendly against Dunbar might recognise Dylan, who played the second-half between the ‘Gers sticks.

The 20 year-old was previously with East Kilbride, was a regular with their development side and debuted for the Kilby first-team last season, keeping a clean sheet in a victory over Cumbernauld Colts.

And now the young stopper will add competition for the number one jersey at Shielfield Park, with Calum Antell and Thomas Kay also vying for the same spot.

The club would like to welcome Dylan to Shielfield Park, and wish him luck in his career with the Borderers.
