Craig Reid signs for Newtongrange Star

The club can confirm that defender Craig Reid has left Berwick Rangers after his loan deal with Newtongrange Star was made permanent.

Reid made 11 appearances in all competitions in the 2020/21 season but found game time difficult to come by at Shielfield Park this season, largely owing to injury issues that had prevented him from being in contention to play.

A loan move was arranged for Craig to gain fitness, with the youngster rejoining The Star having spent time at Newtongrange previously.

Having gained regular playing time and impressing Star boss Chris King, Nitten were keen to discuss terms on a permanent deal. With Reid contracted at Shielfield Park until 2023, terms were discussed, an undisclosed fee agreed and the defender has now signed a contract of the same length at New Victoria Park.
