Berwick add Baker
The club is pleased to today confirm the addition of 26 year-old striker Lewis Baker, who joins after a successful trial with the club which also saw him feature from the bench during Saturday’s opening day 1-0 victory over Caledonian Braves.
Lewis was most recently with Albion Rovers, where he was until the end of last season and had originally signed up to play for Broomhill this season before a raft of changes at the club which led to his departure. The striker started his career at Jeanfield Swifts and went on to play for East Fife previously, and the Rovers from Dundonald Bluebell.
Baker signed on at Bluebell following his return from Sweden, having made the move there following a spell coaching in the nation, and enjoyed spells as a full-time player with both IFK Ostersunds and IFK Mora during his time abroad.
The forward, who will be available for Saturday’s fixture against Gretna 2008, will now look to pin down a place in the squad as he competes with forwards Calum Smith, Lewis Allan and Dan Purves.
The club would like to wish Lewis a warm welcome to Shielfield Park and look forward to seeing him in action.
