WILSON OUT ON SHORT TERM LOAN

Defender Robert Wilson (22) has joined Haddington Athletic Juniors on a month loan which works out well for all three parties.

Secretary Dennis McCleary explained

“ Bob has been out for some time through injury but is now back fully in training and played for the Development team on Wednesday past in a 9-1 friendly win over juniors Oakley United.

“ This loan period until later in September gives him the chance of decent competitive games and assists Haddington who we have a good working relationship with as we train there too. They have defenders out and Bob will step in nicely”

Incidentally scorers in the win at Oakley midweek were:  Daniel Watt (4), Bradley Barrett (2),  Scott Sutherland (2) and Grant Rose (1)

Under 20 coaches Derek and Daniel McKenzie, Neil Oliver and Mark Taylor are again ‘farming out’ lads to various clubs at different levels and to date several are already out on Development Loans but under SPFL rules can come back and play Under 20 games for Berwick.  New rules this season dictate that this is the only outlet for lads to come back and play for the club.
