This weekend: Tweedmouth Rangers vs Eyemouth United
With no SPFL action this weekend due to the international break, Berwick Rangers Football Club would like to point fans in the direction of Tweedmouth Rangers’ home clash with Eyemouth United on Saturday at Old Shielfield.
Kicking off at 2:30pm, Old Shielfield will play host to a derby featuring a host of local talents, with entry by donation.
Rangers recently joined the East of Scotland Football Association, an organisation which will no doubt be familiar to some ‘Gers fans given the club’s involvement of Reserve sides in their leagues over recent years.
Tweedmouth’s task isn’t an easy one however, as they will have to overcome a 2nd placed Eyemouth side who have already netted 16 goals in three league games this season.
Having conceded 14 in their two league matches since joining the league, Tweedmouth may well be up against it, but they will take heart from the fact that this will be their first ever home league match.
Following the game, the club will be opening the JB Lounge to screen Gareth Southgate’s first match as interim England boss, with England taking on Malta from 5pm.
And the club would love to see fans showing their support for the TRFC project by attending and getting behind the lads this Saturday at Old Shielfield.
We hope to see you there!
