Stevenson re-joins

Berwick Rangers are delighted to announce that Jamie Stevenson has re-signed for the club until the end of the season, following his return as a trialist in recent weeks.

The versatile 39 year-old had been forced to depart Shielfield in early November following a change in personal circumstances which made the travel commitment for training and games too difficult, but a recent shift has opened the door to a comeback for the former Greenock Morton and Peterhead man.

Berwick’s manager, Thomas Scobbie, has previously praised Stevenson’s professionalism and contributions to the squad culture, and is thrilled to bring such an experienced and composed player back into the squad. Stevenson has played over 560 games in senior football, and his next appearance in black and gold will mark a half century of matches for Jamie as a Berwick player.

Stevenson and the rest of his Berwick team-mates are next in action a week today (Saturday 6 January), away from home against Tranent. The next opportunity to catch the ‘Gers at home will be the following weekend, as we take on Civil Service Strollers on Saturday 13 January. Supporters who attended today’s game against Gala Fairydean Rovers can come to the match on the 13th for half price, and Club 1881 members can claim a free pie and hot drink at the game.
