Ryan Finnie departs ‘Gers on loan

Ryan Finnie has joined Scottish League Two side Cowdenbeath FC on loan until June 30.

The 26-year-old has played in 13 of the team’s 16 fixtures so far this season and immediately impressed at the heart of the defence, winning Sponsor’s Man of the Match on his debut against Vale of Leithen.

When the Blue Brazil approached, the player expressed a desire to join them and, with plenty of options in central defence for when the Lowland League season resumes – including Jack Cook, David Ferguson, Kevin Waugh, Craig Reid, Euan Smith and Ali Forster – the club agreed to allow him to leave on loan.
