Monday Night Football At Shielfield

Our Under 20 team will look to consolidate their poll position in SPFL Development League East when they host a strong Livingston outfit at Shielfield tomorrow night (Monday 23 January KO 7.45pm)

When the teams met at Livi on 5th September Berwick ran out 2-0 winners. Livingson may be in a false position in the table (see below) as there is very little between most of the teams, points wise and they have games in hand.

However, as Berwick have proved already this season, they are capable of defeating all the clubs from higher SPFL Divisions.

Apart from a ‘home’ game at neutral Kelty Hearts ground, it will be the first time the U-20 have been at home since 12th October, when they defeated current second team Forfar 2-1. To date the youngsters have played 7 times away and only 3 at home.

The seven clubs play each other three times – once home and twice away or vice versa – for a total of 18 matches each.

It is expected that recent signings, Jack Cook, ex Livi, who has returned recently from the USA and former Cowdenbeath youngster, Scott Sutherland, will be in the squad.

Former Berwick player Manager, Ian Little, looks after the Livi Under 20 team.
