Matchday programme wins award

The Black & Gold – your matchday programme – has won its first award of the season in the Northern Programme Club’s ‘Programme of the Month’ competition for August.

The five judges selected the programme issued for the fixture against Annan Athletic (19/08/17) as the winner of the Scottish League Two category.Alan Hope from the Northern Programme Club told us:“The Black & Gold is developing into one of the most interesting and impressive programmes in the third tier of Scottish football.“In recent seasons there has been a significant improvement in both its content and printing quality, not to mention the impressive crisp and clear photographic images it contains within the various articles and features which make up the programme.

“The judges were particularly impressed by the historical content contained inside the programme issued for the League Two fixture against Annan Athletic, which made it stand out above the other entries in this category.“The content is aided by a number of past programme references in a selection of its features, indeed the two-page “Re-Programmed” column provides the hobby with a mine of information on the history of the Berwick Rangers matchday publication.”
