Match Preview / Team News
Stuart Malcom takes his side to Alliance Park this weekend to face Caledonian Braves, who currently sit 10th in the Lowland League. The braves have won only one in their last 5, whilst BRFC are looking to make it 5 league wins on the bounce in this fixture.
Dream Team Boss Stuart has almost a full squad to work with this weekend with only Tam Scobbie being sidelined, as he recovers from a cracked ribbed picked up a few weeks back at home to CSS.
Stuart has added to his squad this week and as exclusively revelled first to 1881 members, Lucas Williamson has joined the club on loan from Alloa and goes straight into the match day squad. Lucas has lowland league experience following a loan spell with Broomhill and has been capped by Scotland at U18 level.

Caledonian Braves vs BRFC
Berwick left Alliance Park needing to pick themselves up after a bad day at the office. Having led 0-1 through a well worked Graham Taylor goal, the Gers’ couldn’t hold their lead and this saw them eventually loose 3-1.
Whilst Berwick started strong and a well worked move down the left ended up with a square pass to Taylor who slotted home, once the braves got back into the game their confidence grew.
Berwick had a tough game on a number of fronts not only the score. Aiden Denholm came off injured after a hard challenge and captain Pyper, got shown red for a tackle late in the game. The resulting penalty, stalling the points for the hosts.
All eye turn to Victoria Park next week, where the Gers’ will be looking to get back to winning ways.
