Berwick Rangers are delighted to confirm that manager John Coughlin has put pen to paper on a new two year contract as Club Manager and that he will become FULL-TIME in the role.
A delighted Chairman, Brian Porteous told the club website today (Friday 8th April):
“This is a real positive step forward for us all. John came into the club when we were at a very low point. We were possibly staring at a pyramid play off game and who knows what the consequences of that would be!”
The Chairman added: “John has stabilised us, moved us forward and has made us extremely difficult to beat in recent weeks, witnessed by us only losing one goal in the past seven games to last Saturday.
“He knows the lower league set up in Scotland so well and you can add to that his knowledge of Junior, Lowland and East of Scotland teams too and you don’t need me to remind you of how this worked for him and us in 2006-7 when we won the Championship.
“We are all delighted to confirm this to fans ahead of another important game against Clyde this weekend.”
The club would like to extend it’s thanks to John for his work so far, and look forward to the next two years under his leadership.
