Harvey appointed new ‘Gers Manager
Berwick Rangers FC are pleased to welcome Johnny Harvey as the Clubs new First Team Manager, following the resignation of Robbie Horn 11 days ago. The vacancy attracted a large number of applicants, and interviews were held yesterday after a rigorous short-listing process. Harvey, 36, is widely acknowledged as one of the brightest managerial prospects outside the SPFL, having enjoyed success with Edinburgh United, Haddington Athletic and most recently with Penicuik Athletic. He will take charge of the squad with immediate effect, and his first game will be this weekends Scottish Cup clash with Gretna.
Vice Chairman John Bell, who led the recruitment process, said: “Johnny made a real impact on the interviewing panel with his infectious enthusiasm, attention to detail and a real desire to do well at Berwick Rangers. After his presentation there was no doubting that he was the man for the job and we’re delighted to have secured his services”. Berwick Rangers would like to express their gratitude to Penicuik for their co-operation.
