‘Gers and Hibees Welcomed In Red Lion

Fans of both Berwick Rangers and Hibernian are being invited to head to the Red Lion in prior to Tuesday evening’s friendly match.

The Lion, which has both Sky Sports and BT Sport, has recently came under new ownership and the new tenants are offering all supporters who pop in for a drink between the hours of 4-5pm a free bowl of chilli or curry with their first drink.

The offer will also be extended to ‘Gers fans for Berwick’s first four home games of the season and potentially beyond, with the food on offer changing throughout.

Pub’s landlord Jim Hume admitted that him and his wife are “football daft”, and are hugely keen to see ‘Gers fans pop in for a drink before matches.

“Myself and my wife are more than happy to welcome any football supporters in the pub. We’d love to see fans Dream Team fans in regularly, and we’re also more than happy to take in away supporters and welcome them to Berwick.

“We’ll always have something on offer for fans – we’ve already got it planned for the first four home games and hope to keep it running beyond that. We’d also welcome in Berwick fans who are hitting the road, if
