Gary O’Connor To Be Club’s 4th Hall of Fame Inductee!

Berwick Rangers are delighted to confirm that the fourth and final inductee to the club’s Hall of Fame in 2016 will be goalkeeping hero Gary O’Connor.

The former ‘Gers stopper will be in attendance at the club’s first annual Legends Dinner and told the club’s official website on Friday evening that he is looking forward to returning to Berwick on Saturday 7th May.

“I’m delighted to have been invited. I was at a similar event for Raith Rovers back in February accepting an induction on behalf of another goalkeeper there.

“That was a great evening, but to be asked along to one of these events to be inducted myself is a real honour. I’m really grateful and very much looking forward to it.”

Having played against the likes of England great Paul Gascoigne, trained alongside the likes of Scotland stopper Craig Gordon and racking up an incredible six different spells at Shielfield Park – including one in the heroic league winning side of 2007, there’s no doubt Gary will have some interesting stories to tell on the night!

Places are starting to become more limited – as such fans interested in booking are advised to move fast. Tables of up to 10 are available but are now subject to availability.

Fans are asked to arrive 7:30pm for and 8pm start, and will be able to enjoy a high-class hot buffet, talks from some of the area’s finest speakers as well as speeches from inductees Eric Tait, Gary O’Connor and Russell Craig.
