Bonnyrigg Rose at Shielfield
After what seems an incredibly long pre-season and Betfred Cup, we finally play for the first time in the Lowland league against Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic FC with a 7.45 kick off on Tuesday at Shielfield Park.
The ‘Rosey Posey’ travel the short trip down the A1 with our ex manager and title winning captain Robbie Horne at the helm. Their current squad has some very familiar faces including the likes of Lee Currie, Ross Gray, Neil Martyniuk and Kerr Young who have all played in the Black & Gold.
Bonnyrigg opened their first season in the Lowland league with a 6-0 thumping against Vale of Leithen on Saturday in front of a crowd of more than 400 and will represent a stern test for our first game at this level.
