Blair Henderson wins BBC Radio Newcastle’s Performance of the Weekend!

Blair Henderson’s early goal helped the ‘Gers to all three points

The club would like to congratulate its current top scorer Blair Henderson, who has been awarded ‘Performance of the Weekend’ by Simon Pryde, John Anderson and Marco Gabbiadini on BBC Radio Newcastle’s Total Sport.

The award comes for Blair’s performance against Stirling Albion last weekend, in which he netted within the first minute.

The forward’s 12th league goal (and 13th of the season) catapulted him into fourth in the SPFL League 2 top scorer charts, and he’ll be looking to build on his recent goalscoring exploits this weekend as he returns to his former side, Annan Athletic.

The 21 year old now has an impressive 18 goals in 40 league games for the club, and 19 in 47 total – his sole cup goal coming against St Mirren in our first game of the 2015/2016 campaign.
