Coultress & Walters Join The ‘Gers
Berwick Rangers are delighted to confirm that clearance has been confirmed to secure the signings of both Mark Walters and Dwayne Coultress.
Walters in particular may be a familiar face to some fans – the stopper a local in the area and having been Coldstream’s number one for a number of years – the team he arrives on a full transfer from.

manager Colin Cameron with some fine performances against the likes of FA Vase winners North Shields and Championship side Hibernian.
The 29 year old will now be looking to emulate the success of fellow local lad Jonny Fairbairn, who enjoyed a euphoric rise from Development Squad player to First Team captain in the space of just a couple of seasons.
However, Walters will know he’ll have to be at his best if he is to keep out former Livingston stopper Kevin Walker who also joined the ‘Gers this summer and, with the help of his commanding communication skills, looks as though the kind of ‘Keeper who may inspire confidence into a defence.
On the signing, Colin Cameron explained: “Mark has demonstrated his commitment to the side during pre-season. He’s lost five and a half pounds which to me shows he’s prepared to work.
“If he keeps up that level of effort, he’ll have no problems challenging Kevin (Walker) for the number one jersey. That’s what we’re aiming for.
Coultress meanwhile becomes the second player in the space of a week to join the Dream Team off the back of a spell in English football – the winger plying his trade for Vanarama Conference South side Maidenhead United.
The Reading-born midfielder parted company with Aldershot Town during January 2013 – a move which saw him complete his first move to the Scottish ranks as he’d join St Johnstone’s youth system.
After returning South, the 21 year old held his own during pre-season with Berwick and featured in a friendly alongside his fellow arrival against North Shields.
Manager Colin Cameron revealed that: “We’d made Dwayne an offer to sign on early in pre-season, but

understandably he had to go back and discuss his options with his family first.
“We’re pleased that he’s chose to join us, and now his registration has gone through with the FA, all is official.”
Cameron would go on to confirm that more new faces are imminent at Shielfield, stating: “There are a lot of new faces in the squad, but I still think a few more changes are required.”
