Bayley Klimionek rejoins!
We are thrilled to announce the permanent signing of Bayley Klimionek, who joins Berwick Rangers from fellow Lowland League East club Bo’ness United for an undisclosed fee.
Twenty year old Bayley will be no stranger to ‘Gers fans, as the strong and technically gifted player spent much of the 2023/24 season on loan at Shielfield Park from St Johnstone. Bayley appeared 25 times for the ‘Gers that season, and was a standout in a young Berwick side. Since then, Bayley has spent time at Forfar Athletic, Civil Service Strollers, Brechin City and Bo’ness United. He featured in central midfield in most of his Berwick appearances, but is equally capable playing in a more defensive role.
‘Gers manager Kevin Haynes said, ‘I am delighted to welcome Bayley back to the club. We know the quality he brings – he reads the game well and strengthens us on the defensive side, but is also excellent on the ball and will fit our style of play well. He is only 20, and so we’ll be looking for him to continue developing and we can’t wait to get him to Berwick.’
Bayley has signed until June 2028, meaning that he will be spending the next 2 seasons at MKM Shielfield Park. He goes straight into the squad for tonight’s game against Heart of Midlothian B in the KDM Evolution Trophy.
