Sneddon extends loan stay
Young defender Blair Sneddon will stay at Shielfield Park for a longer spell, after Berwick Rangers and Falkirk agreed an extension to his loan deal.
Left-back Sneddon, 20, has started all six games since he joined Berwick on loan from the League One club, playing a key role in the four Berwick victories in this period. This included clean sheets in the matches against Dalbeattie Star and Tranent Juniors. Sneddon also had a vital hand in Liam Buchanan’s winning goal against Tranent, as his initial run and pass from the left created the opportunity for Graham Taylor to square to Buchanan.
‘Gers manager Stuart Malcolm was delighted to confirm that Blair will be staying at Berwick for longer. Malcolm commented that the youngster has ‘added a real balance to our team, doing well in both defensive and attacking situations’. The manager added, ‘Blair is young but is working hard to get better with every training session and game.’
Sneddon was due to return to Falkirk after Saturday’s Park’s Motor Group Lowland League match against Bo’ness United, but an extension has been agreed, with both clubs monitoring the situation going forward.
