‘Keeper Goodfellow arrives
Berwick Rangers have tonight completed the loan signing of Ryan Goodfellow for the remainder of the season.
The goalkeeper arrives from Cowdenbeath, having previously played with Dunfermline and East Fife.
Manager Johnny Harvey had been exploring his options before Allison’s injury forced hs hand: “I’ve been trying to work on a few things over the last couple of days but with the injury to Kyle on Tuesday night we’ve had to prioritise our plans to bring in cover. Our sympathy is with Kyle as it’s a horrible way to end his season.”
Goodfellow has been on Harvey’s radar for a while and the manager is happy to have secured his services: “I’d spoken to Ryan in the summer to try and bring him into my previous club but he was offered the chance to go to Cowdenbeath. He’s a player I rate highly and he’ll bring good competition to the club. He’s experienced across the SPFL leagues and I look forward to working with him.”
Goodfellow will go straight into Saturday’s squad as we travel to Albion Rovers.
