Berwick Rangers play at Shielfield Park for the second time in 3 days tonight as we welcome Peter Murphy’s play-off chasing Annan side to town in this re-arranged Labrokes League 2 game.
This will be the third league meeting between the sides in the 2018/19 season with Annan triumphing on both previous occasions.
The two sides had contrasting fortunes at the weekend with Annan boosting their play-off chances with a 4-0 victory over Albion Rovers. A result which also helped Berwick in the process.
This will be the 22nd encounter between the sides in Berwick. With 8 Berwick wins so far to Annan’s 10.
Johnny Harvey will be looking for more of the improved first half performance at the weekend where the ‘Gers were unlucky to not be ahead at the break. Ouzy See and Jordan Orru are both still sidelined with injury. Harvey may look to shuffle his pack and Dougie Brydon may be fit enough to be included.
Peter Murphy may have some selection issues of his own as David Wilson and Chris Johnston both took heavy knocks at the weekend. Johnston was influential in creating some of the goals at the weekend so Annan will be hoping he is fit to participate. Tommy Muir returned from injury at the weekend.
Match sponsors Ladbrokes see this one as follows:
Usual prices apply for this league fixture for adults at £12 and concessions at £8.
Scott Millar is the ref for this one. David Doig and Chris Rae are the assistants.
We look forward to welcoming you all this evening. Supporters of both clubs will be more than welcome in bar 1881 before and after the game. Highlights of the game will be available on Berwick Rangers TV after the game.
Let’s get behind the boys and hope for a positive result. Come on the ‘Gers!
