‘Gers manager John Coughlin has brought in the father and son team of Derek and Daniel McKenzie to join the club’s Youth Development set up at Shielfield for next season.

Speaking of the arrival of the Perth pair, the boss told the club website today: “Both Derek and Daniel worked with me at East Stirlingshire and have a background is in development football and in scouting.

“Their knowledge of the young talent in the country is second to none and I will rely heavily on their input in finding the next batch of young players we need.

“Both are qualified coaches. Derek will be Head of Youth Development with Daniel and our locally-based coach Neil Oliver working with him as assistants in the SPFL Development League. M

“I’m also hoping that Myles Allan will continue with us, though concentrating more on his responsibilities in a scouting capacity at a first-team level.”

The club would like to extend a warm welcome to Derek and Daniel.
