Wilkie and Wilson arrive on loan

BerwickRangers

Berwick have completed the signings of Kyle Wilkie and Jamie Wilson on loan for the remainder of the season.

Both featured in the squad for Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Montrose, with Wilkie playing 79 minutes before being replaced by David Gold, while Wilson was an unused substitute.

Wilkie, 24, has arrived on loan from Highland League outfit Nairn County. The winger has experience of playing in the SPFL with Hamilton, Morton and most recently Livingston. His signing received SFA confirmation as late as Saturday morning, making him eligible for the game at Links Park where he assisted Blair Henderson’s goal.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Wilson, 18, has joined on loan from Dunfermline to provide cover for the injured Billy Bald, who is out for the rest of the season with a broken wrist.

In other news, Euan Bauld has been fully recalled from his loan spell at Arniston Rangers, where he had been playing on Saturdays while also featuring for the Development League squad during the week. Bauld recently made his first team debut in the 2-0 home defeat to Albion Rovers.
