Vale of Leithen at Shielfield

*As of Friday pm the pitch is playable but another check will be made early Saturday to assess condition.

Rain is forecast Saturday and there will be an update on Club social media if anything changes.

After Tuesday’s postponement, Vale of Leithen FC are our next Lowland League opponents on Saturday the 16th of November with a 3pm kick off. Our first meeting between the two clubs was way back in 1906.

The historic club based in Innerleithen currently sit 16th in the league and last out lost at home to Civil Service Strollers. Chris Anderson is their player/manager.

TEAM NEWS

Jack Cook is still out otherwise manager Ian Little has a full squad to choose from. Ian will serve a one match suspension tomorrow following his sending off last Friday night against Spartans FC.

Midfielder Kieran Jack has left the club this week by mutual consent.The club wish Kieran all the best in his continued football career.

Alex Shepherd will be controlling the game with Scott Downie and Emmanuelle Hingant on the lines.

ADMISSION

The club are offering concession rate of £5 to each home Lowland League game to current and former military members. Serving Armed Forces Personnel should show their MOD Card 90 and Veterans should produce their Veterans ID Card at the Concession entrance at the main turnstiles (Block B)

Entry on match day is by cash turnstiles, no advance tickets required. Season Tickets are valid for this game.

Parking is available opposite Shielfield Park, with no fee. Fans are invited to purchase a 50/50 half-time draw ticket upon arriving for £1, though this is not compulsory.
