The club are pleased to reveal that Berwick’s Development Team have confirmed a number of friendly fixtures as the side continue to prepare for the new SPFL Development League East season.

Head of Youth Coaching Derek McKenzie has until the second week of September to prepare their side. The ‘Gers will first go head to head with former Berwick Rangers first-team boss Ian Little’s Livingston.

McKenzie took his side to Blackburn United yesterday, and watched on as his side enjoyed a useful workout which would finish 3-3. Ryan Conroy, Harry Galloway and Jamie Henderson netted the ‘Gers goal.

And McKenzie and co have moved to ensure the ‘Gers youngsters can enjoy regular football until September. The ‘Gers won’t be shying away from travelling, having lined up the following fixtures:

  • Tuesday 26th July – Scone Thistle (away – 7:30pm kick-off).
  • Saturday 30th July – Dunipace Juniors (away). The ‘Gers will contenst for an inviational trophy in this game.
  • Tuesday 2nd August – Penicuik Athletic (away).
  • Saturday 6th August – Linlithgow Thistle AFC (away).
  • Friday 12th August – Spartans Under 20’s (away).
