Forfar Athletic were the visitors in Berwick Under 20s opening home league in the SPFL Development League East which ended in a 3-1 victory thanks to goals from Rutherford (penalty), Rose and Sutherland. The win puts us 3 points clear at the top but tonight sees the remaining games of the week with Livingston home to Stirling and Raith at home against Cowdenbeath which could change the position.

Half time score was 1-0 to Berwick courtesy of Rutherford’s penalty and Forfar equalised in the 60th minute direct from a free kick on the edge of the box before Rose converted from the corner and in injury time Sutherland, who had just came on as substitute, ensured the 3 points were in the bag. Full match report to follow later.

Team was: Jarrett, Aitchison, Herriot, Murray (53 – Trialist), Cook, Fairbairn, Gillan, Chapman(C), Rutherford (84 – Sutherland), Rose, Barrett (74 – Jack)
