Berwick Rangers Under 20’s will hit the road once more this evening to take on another Black & Gold Army at the Indodrill Stadium in the form of Alloa Athletic Under 20s.

The ‘Gers currently sit on top of the Development League after four games, having racked up 10 points and building a gap of 3 points to their nearest rivals.

But Derek McKenzie’s youths will know they’ll have to be on the top of their game if they are to get an away result tonight that would ensure they remain top for at least another 7 days.

Alloa currently sit 5th, having won two and lost two of their games so far. The Wasps come off the back of a dominant 3-0 victory away to Cowdenbeath last week, and will be high on confidence as that result made it two wins in two games after they battled past Stirling Albion’s Under 20’s the previous week in Alloa.

John Coughlin’s first-team bench featured a wealth of youth talent on Saturday in Stirling, but Derek McKenzie will nevertheless be bolstered by the availability of the likes of Daniel Watt, who replaced Greg Hurst to make his second senior appearance for the club at the weekend.

Tonight’s match will kick-off at 7:30pm, and will be officiated by referee Stewart Luke and his assistants David McKniff and David Doig.
