Shielfield Park To Host Ex-Pros In Cash For Kids Charity Match

Berwick Rangers are delighted to confirm that Shielfield Park will play host to Haggerston Castle’s upcoming charity match in aid of Radio Borders’ Cash For Kids.

The match, which will take place on Sunday 29th May, will see a Haggerston Castle Select side take on Dukla Pumpherston, a charity football side captained by Scottish football pundit Chick Young.

Dukla, a side created specifically to feature in charity matches, regularly field ex-pros and celebrities amongst their teams, with the likes of Ally McCoist, Neil Lennon and Frank McAvennie all having played for the side previously.

And whilst the game will kick-off at 2pm, fans are advised to get down to Shielfield early to enjoy a full day of entertainment, with fun and games from Haggerston favourites Rory the Tiger, Bradley Bear and many more. Food and drink will also be available on the day.

Admission is by donation, with a suggestion of £5 Adults and £2 Children. All proceeds will go to local charity Cash for Kids, and will help underprivileged children enjoy aspects of life some of us will no doubt take for granted.

Post-match, a charity auction will be carried out where football memorabilia will be sold, with all money raised also being passed on to Cash for Kids.

Corporate and VIP packages are available from £25 for access to the lounge and VIP areas of the stadium for pre and post match refreshments. Interested parties should contact Mark Kingsley on Mark.kingsley@bourne-leisure.co.uk.

Please spread the word – Berwick Rangers are very keen for this event to be a great success and are delighted to be supporting a great cause. As such, the club would love to see a healthy crowd at Shielfield Park on the day!
