Charlie Denton saw red in what has always been a heated clash

After a 7-0 drubbing away to Stirling Albion in their last outing, Berwick Rangers’ Development League team bounced back with a big win of their own in this ‘home’ match played at Junior club Blackburn United’s ground in West Lothian.

Berwick had three trialists in their 14-man squad and one of them (B. Trialist) scored a brace. It was a mixed afternoon for Charlie Denton. He scored one of Berwick’s three first half goals but was sent off in the second period with the score still at 3-0. Regan Graham and Barry Hogg were the other names on the scoresheet.

It was a second victory this season for Berwick against their ‘Blue Brazil’ counterparts. In September, the ‘Black and Gold’ won by the odd goal in seven at Central Park.
