Rayan Mohammed joins on loan!
Striker Rayan Mohammed has become the latest addition to the Berwick Rangers squad, as the 19 year-old centre forward joins on loan from SPFL Premiership side Dundee until 12 January.
Rayan signed for Dundee as a 17 year-old from Alloa Athletic, and scored for Dundee B in their SPFL Trust Trophy win over Formartine United earlier in the season. He has also enjoyed a pair of loan spells at League Two side Forfar Athletic, scoring two goals and being used mostly as an impact substitute.
Before joining Dundee, Rayan was a prolific and successful player at a high level in Scottish youth football – winning the Scottish Cup while at Hutchison Vale, representing Scotland’s Schools and scoring 43 goals in Alloa’s Under 18 squad. He made his senior debut just a few months after turning 17 for The Wasps, in a 1-1 draw with Falkirk.
Rayan is a promising young striker with a natural instinct for goals, and his addition will add to an exciting forward line for Berwick. Niall Kemp, who turned 20 last week, impressed on his debut at Bo’ness United on Tuesday night, while 18 year-old Ben McCrystal scored his first Berwick goal since joining on loan from St Johnstone.
Berwick fans should get their first opportunity to see Rayan Mohammed in action this Saturday, as we host Albion Rovers in Park’s Motor Group Lowland League action at MKM Shielfield Park – the first of 6 home matches in a row for Thomas Scobbie and his ‘Gers side.
Rayan’s kit is available to sponsor now, and is a great way to show your appreciation for another new Berwick Rangers signing: https://store.berwickrangers.com/products/2024-2025-player-sponsorship?variant=53644501057912
