Preview: East Stirlingshire v Berwick Rangers – SPFL League Two
Berwick travel to Ochilview to take on East Stirlingshire on Saturday aiming to leapfrog their opponents into 9th place and end a run of 7 consecutive losses, 6 of which have came in league action.
Berwick Team News:
Manager John Coughlin opted to rotate his squad on Tuesday night in Arbroath, with Blair Henderson, David Morris and Ross Drummond all introduced to the starting line-up.
Despite a dogged performance in Angus and signs of defensive improvement, the ‘Gers collapsed after the Litchie’s equaliser and whether the manager sees more changes required to shore up the defence on his return to Ochilview remains to be seen.
There are no fresh injury concerns for the ‘Gers ahead of their trip to Larbert, meaning Kieran Ainslie, Euan Bauld & Calum Helm will not travel.
East Stirlingshire Team News:
Shire come into the game in decent form having lost only two of their last six games, but retain a poor defensive record which the ‘Gers will look to take advantage of.
Berwick will have to be aware of threats such as Alistair Roy if they are to return from Ochilview with any rewards, the young forward on loan from Hearts having netted four times in ten appearances thus far.
The ‘Shire may be without defender Jordan Cairnie, on loan from Greenock Morton, who is an injury doubt, but will be boosted by the return of the previously-suspended Reece Donaldson.
Match Odds:
SPFL sponsors Ladbrokes are finding it difficult to seperate the two sides but make the home side slight favourites to take maximum points.
