Preview: East Fife v Berwick Rangers – SPFL Ladbrokes League Two

Berwick head to Methil tomorrow afternoon in search of their first away victory of the season, however they know they’ll have to be at their best if they’re to take anything away from one of the division’s title favourites.

Team News:

There is some good news for Colin Cameron ahead of the clash at Bayview, with news that the hamstring problem that forced Michael McKenna off the pitch in last weekend’s 2-1 victory over Montrose is not serious and the former Livingston man should be available for selection.

However, there is a fresh injury concern with Ross Drummond ruled out for two weeks after having an injection in his ankle. Drummond admitted his frustration with the injury after only recently returning from a lengthy spell out.

Calum Helm and Euan Bauld remain out, Helm possibly ruled out for the season and Bauld suffering from a back injury.

Club therapist Jenna Orr revealed: “Calum is making really good progress on his ACL injury. We had him in for a rehab session last night and I was pleased with the progress he’s making.

“Euan meanwhile went for an MRI scan on his back, so now it’s just a case of waiting for the results.”

It isn’t all bad news though, with Jenna continuing: “Steven Notman meanwhile will probably be integrated in light training again from next week. He’s really been pushing himself in each rehab session so it’s no surprise he’s  on course to beat the expected timeframe.”

East Fife Team News:

East Fife suffered a shock opening-day defeat against East Stirlingshire in a fixture that has now become well known for more controversial reasons.

The Fifers will be looking to move on from the disappointment of last week and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see some different faces in the side that failed to break the deadlock at Ochilview.

Boss Gary Naysmith will have a full squad available for selection, and will be looking to secure his side’s first points of the season.
