Preview: Berwick Rangers v Queen’s Park – Ladbrokes League Two

Whilst the ‘Gers lost their 100% record at Shielfield during last weekend’s #FreeFootball 2-2- draw with Arbroath, the Dream Team will still be looking to ensure they remain unbeaten at home during this weekend’s clash with Gus MacPherson’s Spiders.

Berwick Team News:

Midfielder David Banjo will miss tomorrow's tie with a thigh problem

Midfielder David Banjo will miss tomorrow’s tie with a thigh problem

David Banjo was forced off during last weekend’s draw, and Club Therapist Jenna Orr has revealed that the midfielder will subsequently miss out of tomorrow’s tie.

“David strained his adductor when he came on last week, so he’ll be out of action. Colin (Cameron) also limped off with a hamstring issue, but he’s been training so should be fit for contention.”

“Euan (Bauld) and Calum (Helm) both remain out. Euan is awaiting the results of a second MRI, while Calum has had a date for the operation on his knee confirmed after making some good progress, so hopefully it’ll be a success and we’ll be able to further rehab soon.”

The only other absencee for the ‘Gers will be defender Ross Graham, who misses out through work commitments.

After two weeks of training, Steven Notman will be available for selection, though will still likely be eased back into action after 6 months on the sidelines.

Queen’s Park Team News:

Gus MacPherson will be looking for a response from his players after they seek consistency, after losing two and winning two of their Ladbrokes League Two matches so far.

The away side currently sit in 6th, two places below the ‘Gers, and have injury doubts over centre half Bryan Wharton, who limped off during the Spiders’ 2-0 defeat to East Fife at Hampden Park last weekend.

However the Glasgow side will be at otherwise full-strength as they look to bounce back from defeat at Shielfield Park.
