Pre-season friendlies – buy your tickets now!
Berwick Rangers FC are pleased to reveal details of their summer pre-season fixtures ahead of the 2023/24 Lowland League season, with three home games serving as the warm-up to competitive football.
On Saturday 1 July, Stuart Malcolm’s side will make their return to Shielfield Park to take on East of Scotland Premier Division side Haddington Athletic. The ‘Hi His’ finished fifth in their league last season, after earning promotion the season prior, and have also proven a stern test for higher level opponents in the last two Scottish Cup campaigns. They should provide a tough opening fixture for the Wee ‘Gers, and we look forward to welcoming fans of both clubs to TD15 for the match, which will kick off at 3pm.
Saturday 8th July will see us welcome our old friends from the capital, Hibernian FC, back to Berwick for a game between Berwick Rangers and the Hibs development squad. We have a long history of pre-season matches in the summer sun against Hibs, and we are delighted to be able to host them next month.
Finally, as you may already have read in a previous article, a Sunderland XI will travel to Shielfield for a testimonial match in honour of long-serving Berwick Rangers Club Secretary Dennis McCleary. This match will take place on Saturday 15 July, with a 3pm kick off time. Berwick’s Lowland League season gets up and running the weekend after, on Saturday 22 July.
Tickets for the Haddington Athletic and Hibernian games will be priced at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions, with under 16s going free.

Tickets for the Berwick v Sunderland XI game on the 15th are priced at £10 for adults, £5 for concessions, and £3 for under 16s. As it is a testimonial fixture, Club 1881, The ‘Gers and Wee ‘Gers memberships will not be valid for this game.
