Tam joined the Dream Team in late August 2021, adding competition to a ‘Gers backline which had been hit by injury, going on to debut after a year out of the game in a Lowland League fixture against Bo’ness United, where he would perform resolutely in a late defeat following a first-half red card for the ‘Gers.
Tam grew into the team during the 2021/22 campaign, making himself a mainstay in a ‘Gers backline that would go on to be unbeaten for over two months. Ahead of penning a new deal for the 2022/23 campaign, it was revealed that Tam would move into Stuart Malcolm’s backroom team as a coach while remaining registered as a player for the next campaign.
