Paul Willis returns to Berwick
Berwick beat the ‘Transfer Window’ deadline by 80 mins last night (31st January) to bring 26 year old forward/midfielder PAUL WILLIS back to Shielfield from East Fife.
Things moved rapidly during the evening and all the paperwork and SFA approval was confirmed at 10.40 pm.
Secretary Dennis McCleary placed on record his thanks to Leona Guidi and Jim Stevenson of the Methil club for all their kind assistance.
Paul’s record at Berwick was:
2014–2015 season
Berwick Rangers Appearances: 34 Goals: 9
He signed for Darren Young at Albion Rovers and was there for 2 seasons following which Darren signed him to East Fife for the start of this season after he moved there to become manager.
Robbie Horn added:
“I’m absolutely delighted to get Paul on board and he’s a player I know well. He can play in a number of positions in the front area and provides quality and a real goal threat. He was keen to come back to Berwick after his previous spell and as I said before I want players who want to play for me and more importantly Berwick Rangers”
Paul commented:
“I’m delighted to have finally got the deal done and I’m glad to be back at Berwick Rangers. I really enjoyed my time at the club before and Robbie was a big reason for me coming back. Really looking forward to the rest of the season and hopefully at the very least a successful year and half with the team”
