Stevie earned 54% of the voting as his presence in midfield ensured that East Fife found it difficult to break down the ten men of Berwick.

However in making one of his trademark challenges, the club’ Vice-Captain felt a tweak in his hamstring and was forced off with five minutes to go, the ‘Gers of course going on to concede a late equaliser.

There were two joint runners-up this week with the club’s captain Jonny Fairbairn also leading by example at the back despite having to adapt to a new centre-half partner after the break. Jonny was composed throughout and handled Nathan Austin in particular with ease.

Finn Graham picked up the other 18%, the midfielder netting the opening goal in the game and impressing with a fine range of passing throughout the match.

Finally Dwayne Coultress, who was a constant thorn in East Fife’s right flank throughout the clash, won the remaining 10% of votes.

Well done to Steven, the nominees and the rest of the team for a fantastic battling effort. We’re sure you’ll agree it deserved a little more!
