Notman to remain a ‘Ger
Berwick Rangers are delighted to confirm that terms have been agreed with Steven Notman that will see him extend his deal unil the end of the 2015/2016 campaign.
Steven initally joined Berwick in a loan deal from Hibernian, playing a key part in the ‘Gers 2007 title win. Since then Steven returned to Shielfield on a more permanent basis and he has been a mainstay in the starting eleven. Recently making his 200th appearance for the club, he has also featured as captain a number of times this season.
With Stevie currently sitting 19th in Berwick’s all-time appearance makers, player-boss Colin Cameron will be delighted to secure the versatile midfielder’s experience.
While Innerleithen-based Notman is currently sidelined with a knee issue, the club have covered costs for a scan and are currently looking into the most efficient ways to get him back to full fitness ahead of the new campaign.
Notman joins Blair Henderson, Jonathon Fairbairn, Ross Drummond, Kerr Young and Cameron in extending their deals for the new campaign.
Two players who will not rejoin the ‘Gers next season are Billy Bald and Craig Dargo, both of whom leave by mutual consent. The club would like to wish both the very best of luck in their respective futures.
