Match Preview : Peterhead FC v Berwick Rangers – Ladbrokes League Two

Johnny Harvey and the lads face a tough League Two fixture this weekend as they travel to title chasing Peterhead. The game kicks off at 3pm.

This will be the 3rd league clash between the sides this season with the Blue Toon recording two victories in 2018/19 so far.

Berwick will be looking to change that and put the first points of 2019 on the board.

History

This will be the 12th league game between the two sides with Peterhead hosting. Berwick have recorded 2 wins in the previous 11.

Berwick News

The January transfer window activity has been heating up this week at Shielfield Park as Harvey looks to mould a squad in his own image.

Recent loan signing Euan Valentine will be in the squad. Harvey has reported a fit squad with the exception of Ouzy See and Declan O’Kane.

Gary Phillips, Jamie Todd and John Neill all left the club this week by mutual consent. The club thanks them for their service and wishes them well in the future.

We can also confirm that Alexander Happi has also left the club this week.

Peterhead News

Jim McInally will be looking for a home win to close the gap to Edinburgh City at the top. The Blue Toon are currently 3 points behind with a game in-hand, having won 3 of their last 5 games. Usual suspect Rory McAllister is among the goals again with 10 league strikes thus far this season.

Peterhead will be looking for promotion this season having gone so close in the last campaign. Recent goalkeeper addition, Sam Henderson, is expected to be on the bench for this one.
