Match Preview : Motherwell v Berwick Rangers – Betfred Cup

‘The Gers travel to Fir Park to face Motherwell for a 3pm kick on Saturday as Group F reaches its conclusion.

The game will be a top versus bottom clash as Motherwell have a perfect record thus far and will be looking to build upon the recent victories, including a 4-0 hammering of Greenock Morton last time at home.

Motherwell have already qualified by virtue of topping the group but another victory will guarantee being seeded in the next stage and therefore providing a more favourable fixture, avoiding the likes of Celtic, Rangers and Aberdeen.

Berwick have yet to win this season and will be looking at the clash to continue development of their young side and to provide valuable minutes together on the pitch. John Coughlin will be looking to add to the midweek goals from the match against Queens Park.

Travelling supporters, no doubt keen to visit a Scottish Premier League venue, should note that ‘The Gers have been allocated the McEwan Fraser Legal Stand. Prices will be on the gate at the agreed group stage fee of £12 for adults and 6 for concessions.

Berwick supporters will be welcome in the Cooper Bar pre-match and post-match for refreshments. The bar opens at 11am and will close at 6pm.
