Match Preview: Berwick Rangers v Stirling Albion – SPFL Ladbrokes League Two

Berwick return to Shielfield Park tomorrow looking to secure a win which would further distance themselves from any relegation fight against a Stirling side who sit one position above them in the League Two table.

Fans of both sides will be welcomed in the Red Lion Berwick, which is just a 2-3 minute walk from Berwick-upon-Tweed Railway Station. The pub will be putting on complimentary food as usual for fans who purchase a drink.

Darren Lavery returns following a suspension

Berwick Rangers Team News:

John Coughlin welcomes Lee Hamilton into the fold after the full back participated fully in training this week. The youngster had been in good form in Black & Gold before he was knocked unconscious after an elbow to the head and will be looking to reclaim his place in the side.

The Berwick boss will also welcome back Darren Lavery, who has been enjoying a spell in the heart of the ‘Gers midfield throughout this season. Lavery had missed out in last week’s draw with Elgin City due to suspension.

It isn’t all good news for Coughlin however, with news that long-term absentees Kevin Walker, Michael Dunlop and Robert Wilson all remain out with injury. Gary Phillips is also unavailable owing to an injury of his own.

Stirling Albion Team News:

Ross McGeachie and an in-form Sean Dickson will return for the Binos after serving bans. Dickson has netted a number of key goals for Stirling this season, including one against Berwick last time the two sides met in a 2-2 draw at Forthbank Stadium.

Stirling will however be without Ross Smith, Willie Robertson and Jack McCue. Elsewhere, Calvin Colquhoun and captain Ross McMillan will face late fitness tests to see if they can take part.

The away side do however welcome back Dylan Bikey, who left the club in January to sign for Scottish Premiership side Heart of Midlothian. The forward has since been released and rejoined his former side, and will be looking to recapture the scintillating form that earned him a move in the first place between now and the season’s end.
