Match Preview : Berwick Rangers v Hamilton Accies – Betfred Cup

The ‘Gers welcome Scottish Premiership opposition to Shielfield Park tomorrow night, with Martin Canning’s Hamilton side in town for another Betfred Cup Group F encounter. The match kicks off at 7.45pm.

Both sides have had disappointing starts to their cup campaigns and currently sit at the bottom of Group F.

Robbie and the boys will be looking to build on the improved performance against Airdrie at Shielfield on Saturday in what promises to be another tough game.

Hamilton started their season with a shock defeat at League Two Annan Athletic, which will give Berwick hope for a similar result. The Accies managed to take a point against Livingston at the weekend but were defeated in the penalty shoot-out for the bonus point.

Berwick News

This new look Berwick side will be looking to register their first goal of the campaign as they continue the build up to the new league campaign. Talks are ongoing with transfer targets as Robbie Horn looks to add to the youthful squad for the new season.

It remains to be seen who will start in goal, with Ally Adams and Sean Brennan both having starts this season already. Grant Rose and Daryl Healy will both be looking for their first goals in Berwick colours.

Paul Willis will be looking to build on his man of the match performance from the weekend.
