Match Preview: Berwick Rangers v Forfar Athletic – SPFL Ladbrokes League Two

The ‘Gers face a tough task as league leaders Forfar Athletic visit Shielfield Park tomorrow afternoon. Berwick’s performances of late have been much-improved in the last two though, and they’ll aim to make things hard for a Forfar side who have lost just two times this season.

Euan Spark has made a fine start to life in Black & Gold

Berwick Rangers Team News:

Berwick’s upturn in form has came in the absence of defenders Robert Wilson, Jonny Fairbairn and Michael Dunlop, and all three will be missing once more here.

Euan Spark, who spared Berwick blushes with a heroic goalline clearance in the final seconds of last week’s 2-2 draw with Stirling Albion, is likely to face his former club, but Steven Notman is a doubt for the match, the midfielder struggling with a virus.

Aaron Murrell started his first game and netted his first goal for the club last weekend, and he’s likely to continue in the ‘Gers’ frontline.

Berwick are also boosted by the addition of Sean McKirdy, the Hamilton Academical signing on an emergency loan earlier today.

Forfar Athletic Team News:

Former ‘Gers trialist Eddie Malone, who signed for the Loons from Spartans in the January transfer window, will miss out due to suspension. Malone is likely to be replaced by Martyn Fotheringham or Eoghan McCawl.

Aside from that, Gary Bollan who was recently named January Manager of the Month is free of squad concerns and will be hoping his side can continue the form that has seen them dominate League Two thus far.
