Match Preview : Berwick Rangers v Elgin City FC – Ladbrokes League Two

The ‘Gers are back at Shielfield tomorrow night for a League Two game against Elgin City, who travel down from Borough Briggs for the 7.45pm kick-off.

Berwick are looking for a vital victory to move further away from recently in-form Cowdenbeath.

The other league game at Shielfield earlier in 2017/18 was one of the highlights of the season as two Aaron Murrell strikes sealed a late 3-2 comeback victory.

Gavin Price and his Elgin side will arrive with confidence having ended a run of three consecutive defeats with a 0-2 triumph away at Stenhousemuir at the weekend.

Elgin also delivered two of the heaviest defeats to Berwick this season recording 5-1 and 3-0 wins at Borough Briggs earlier this campaign, the more recent result coming on 10th March 2018.

Robbie Horn had commented on Saturday that it would be a case of players recovering quickly from Saturday and was hoping to have a full squad to choose from.

Jack Hamilton will be looking to add to his goal from the weekend.

Elgin City News

Gavin Price’s side currently sit just outside of the play-off positions and will be looking for a strong end to the season. Brian Cameron is the leading scorer this campaign with 9 league goals thus far.

Goals from Darryl McHardy and Christopher McLeish sealed the win at the weekend.
