Match Preview: Berwick Rangers v East Stirlingshire – SPFL Ladbrokes League Two
Berwick prepare to host East Stirlingshire tomorrow looking for their first win in four games as they attempt to build on the point they secured at Broadwood last weekend.
Berwick Rangers Team News:
The ‘Gers will be without midfielder Graeme Beveridge who took a heavy knock in that very clash with Clyde, the versatile right-footer left concussed and with broken ribs following the challenge.
He will be joined on the sidelines by David Banjo, though there is some good news for the manager in that the steely midfielder should return to light training next week. Colin Cameron himself is also likely to miss out as he continues to struggle with a knock.
The absence of the aforementioned three may leave Berwick somewhat short in the centre of midfield, though Steven Notman, Finn Graham, Barry Hogg & Michael McKenna all well-capable of operating in the thick of things, the ‘Gers should have enough depth to operate in their usual system.
Long-term absentees Euan Bauld & Calum Helm also remain out.
East Stirlingshire Team News:
The ‘Shire will be well-backed at Shielfield with a healthy support, including a bus-load expected to arrive for the match.
Striker Billy Vidler will miss the trip however after being stretchered off with a medial knee ligament injury during a 4-0 defeat to Arbroath last weekend.
Former Berwick captain Chris Townsley is also likely to miss the clash with an ankle issue, though may face a late fitness test.
