Match Preview: Berwick Rangers v Annan Athletic – Ladbrokes League Two
League football returns to Shielfield Park tomorrow afternoon with the ‘Gers set to take on Jim Chapman’s table-topping Annan Athletic.
Berwick will be seeking their first competitive win of the season, but after the Galabank side got off to a winning start last weekend courtesy of a 3-2 win at home to Stirling Albion, manager John Coughlin will be aware it will be no easy task.
Berwick Rangers Team News:
Coughlin is without Hibernian loanee Sean Mackie, who remains out with injury, but will welcome Michael McKenna back to the fold after he completed a suspension carried over from last season.
The manager expects all other players to be fit and available however, meaning the ‘Gers are at as full-strength as they have been so far this season.
Annan Athletic Team News:
Jim Chapman believes there is still room for improvement despite a positive start, telling Annandale TV: “We got a good result last week but there are still one or two areas we need to work hard on.”
“John has done well, he’s recruited well and strengthened his squad from last year, so we know we’ll be in for a difficult tie.”
Annan will be without Barry Cuddihy and Steven Swinglehurst who are injured, but will welcome Willie Robertson back into the fold.
