League Two Play-Off – Cove Rangers v Berwick Rangers

The ‘Gers travel to Cove Rangers tomorrow for the first leg of the promotion/relegation decider with kick-off at 3pm.

Cove Rangers won the Highland League for the second year running, this time around clinching a 8 point gap over second placed Brora Rangers and then saw off East Kilbride 5-1 on aggregate to set up this clash.

Our new management team have had their first full week to work with the players ahead of one of the most important games in Berwick’s history. The clubs previously met in the Scottish Cup in 2010 at Cove’s previous ground with Berwick emerging as 3-0 winners in the cup run that led to the home tie with Celtic.

Supporters will recognise certain players in the Cove squad with SFL experience including the likes of Martin Scott, Jamie Masson, Jordon Brown and Mitchel Megginson.

Admission

The ground is at Balmoral Stadium Wellington Circle, Altens, Aberdeen, AB12 3JG and capacity is 2500. Segregation is not planned for this vital game.
Admission will be £10.00 for Adults and £5.00 for Concessions with a £2.00 transfer into the Main Stand while seats remain.
A bumper crowd is expected for this one and there is a Car Park at the ground which will accommodate the Team Bus and some cars. There will be a Fan Zone in place for Saturday.

Officials

David Lowe is the ref on Saturday. He will be assisted by Stuart Stevenson and Ivan Stankovic.

We wish all our supporters a safe journey on Saturday and hope that as many of you can make the journey as possible. We need you now more than ever and hope that we all bring a positive result back to Shielfield for the return leg.

Come on the ‘Gers!
